Best Cheap Video Equipment For YouTube Beginners
In this video, I discuss the best cheap equipment that you need in order to start making videos for your YouTube channel, website or social media pages.
My goal with this video is to show you that you don't need a bunch of expensive equipment in order to start creating videos. In fact, I'm guessing that you already have enough equipment to get started.
I remember when I first started creating videos, all I had was the video camera on my smartphone and a cheap pair of headphones with a built-in microphone. That's it! I used that set up for years and worked great.
I'd recommend that you do the same thing. If you have great content, you really don't need anything more advanced. You don't need a DSLR camera or a professional microphone or a full lighting setup...The key is to just start with what you got and then slowly upgrade to better equipment over time (if you decide that you like creating videos).
If you do decide to upgrade your equipment, here is my list of cheap, budget-friendly equipment for beginner YouTubers:
Video Cameras:
- Use your smartphone video camera
- Use your computer's built-in webcam
- Purchase an external HD webcam. This is the one that I use and recommend.
Microphones:
- Use the built-in microphone on your headphones
- Purchase a clip-on microphone.
- Purchase a Blue-Yeti microphone. (Note: If you're going to spend a little extra money on one item, I would make it this. The added audio quality will be worth it).
Lighting:
- Use a lamp or lamps that you have around your house
- Use natural light
