5 Ways To Build Trust & Loyalty With Your Filipino Virtual Assistant

Eric Evenstad • June 21, 2018

Once you find a great virtual assistant, it's your job to make sure they never want to leave. To do this, you have to build trust and loyalty.

If you do it right, your VA will stick around for years, and more importantly, you'll be able to count on them to make the extra effort and produce high quality work every single day.

So how do you build trust & loyalty with somebody that lives on the other side of the globe and that you've never met in person?

Well, it's pretty simple actually. You treat them with respect, you show them that you care about them as a person, and you make them feel like a valued member of your team.

You can accomplish all of that by following my 5 Steps for Building Trust & Loyalty with a Filipino virtual assistant:

  1. Give them paid days off for common Filipino holidays (I've listed the holidays below)
  2. Celebrate their birthday each year. Send a small gift, give them the day off, and write them a message telling them how much you appreciate them.
  3. Give them paid days off for things like sick days, funerals, and their children's birthdays. I personally give my VA's 8 paid days off per year.
  4. Be compassionate and accommodating when they are hit with a typhoon or flood (which happens several times per year). Show them that you care about their well-being.
  5. Periodically offer results driven bonuses to motivate them and make them feel like a valued member of the team.

I go into further details about each of these in the video, so make sure you watch it... and take action! The last thing you want is for your superstar virtual assistant to leave because they didn't feel appreciated or didn't trust you.

As promised, here is the full list of paid holidays that we offer to our VA's:
